You should always rinse by hand or gentle cycle with mild detergent or hand soap in cold water after wearing, especially after chlorine exposure.
Let air dry, preferably outside if it’s hot but not in direct sun often. You can also roll it up in a towel and squeeze out excess water before laying flat to dry. If you must use a dryer, use low-heat/air dry/delicate settings.
To open the snaps, don’t aggressively pull at the fabric. Use your fingernail/credit card to pop it open. This helps ensure the fabric doesn’t tear around the snaps.
